Electronic Instrumentation
This application-oriented survey course is designed for engineering and science majors, covering essential topics in transducers and measurement devices. Students will explore both direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) analog circuits, including concepts such as impedance, power, frequency response, and resonance. The course also introduces diodes, transistors, and operational amplifiers, along with signal conditioning, noise management, and shielding techniques. Additionally, students will learn about digital electronics, including analog-to-digital (A/D) and digital-to-analog (D/A) conversion, as well as power supplies, rectifiers, and electromagnetic devices, providing a comprehensive foundation in electronic systems.
